Yesterday’s teaching in my Therapeutic yoga class was all about Inhaling/receiving and Exhaling/expanding.  In the end, pleasing to see 3 of my 4 students not wake up from a deep rest (savasana). Afterwards SUSHI dinner out with friends was fun, however, our obviously gay waiter was not quite focused on doing his best for us…not even telling us about Ladies night and FREE shakitini’s.Â
This morning I awoke early to write my 2nd draft of a synopsis for the following article in www.NYTimes.com: Enter, The Cybrid by Olivia Judson. Recalling that summarizing stories is challenging to me. However, this is the 2nd extra credit for my summer anaotmy & physiology class I am thoroughly enjoying. The first was a write-up I am very proud of, in regards to my experience attending THE BODIES exhibition - which was AWESOME!!!Â
After focused study, I led myself through a nice personal yoga practice with seated meditation in the end (pranayama) utilizing anuloma ujjayi (with the grain … calming) and then pratiloma ujjayi (against the grain … energizing) leading me to power walk 30 minutes, SWEATING LIKE CRAZY, which I love. Now, Matt is joning me for a bike ride and then we are taking a friend’s 12′ paddle board to have fun on. Along with dogs in town to allow them a beach walk, I will be ocean swimming.   A rolfing speciliast suggested I start swimming more regularly, to work on (my) scoliosis and mid-body happenings going along with it.Â
How’s that for some information???
Love to share - sharing is caring…being open is freedom — I truly love my freedom and appreciate the experiences that go along with living openly.Â
Today: canoeing a river, tomorrow, a friend’s vinyasa yoga flow class, body work by holistic doctor and then a new rolfer and possibly massgae and cranial-sacral work by a dear friend - who is coming into town to play with us this weekend. It is my Birthday Weekend!!!!  Saturday night a friend’s birthday party starting at a local bar downtown….Sunday, hoping the weater permits us to do some kite surfing and Monday, no plans. Hope to do some studying and relaxing, even though Monday is a holiday from school, woohoo!
Last but not least, on the healthfron:Â although doctors have to follow medical fact, knowledge and experience — I am finding belief in the power of healing through excercise, prayer, smiling and laughter.Â
Sincerely,
Tyler
