Sunday is a special day to me, perhaps the many years of having to go to (Catholic) church while growing up…simply the ritual of the experience. I feel a sense of taking extra care & offering additional compassion and selflessness on such a day. My intention today here at yoga therapist training: Continue to hold a quiet space - and begin to explore sharing the space. As well, I am turning my personal focus to explore sexuality - through yoga asana, pranayama and mediation.
Fog was thicker than morning than it has been yet, curious to see if the pattern I have observed continues as the fog rises to provide a beautiful sun shining day with the ability to seee far into the distance and down to the water’s edge of Monterey Bay.

If you want to know more about where I am, read on:
this communal living here is interesting as i observe the ‘locals’ in their jobs and such. from the bookstore to the coffee shop to the front and admin office workers…a pleasure to know the time of day by hearing the blow of the conch shell when the ceremony ritual begins everyday @ 6:30 am and 6 pm.
hiking on the land is vast and steep.
when water runs through, it must be AMAZING.
the homes around the land are simply cool.
wood, porches, yards, privacy..some with dogs, some with chickens and ducks.
hammocks here and there.
i am impressed with meal time. despite the fixed schedule of 9:30 breakfast 12:30 lunch and (early) 5pm dinner — my body has regulated easy to the time changes and my digestive system is appreciating vegatarian diet. no eggs or meat.
i have personally met about 6 various cooks (and written down 3 recipies) and each meal is ‘organic’ in that items are individually prepared. one day oatmeal is runny like today (ewwww) and another day the oatmeal is just like i prefer it, thick.
there are always basic ’staples’ of brown rice (for breakfast)…greens at dinner with homemade avacado or cucumber dressing. yummy yum.
gotta go to class.
need more computer time, darnit!
